Why Club Volleyball is Important to Make Your School Team!

All club sports are built around high school seasons. School volleyball is a fall sport…meaning the season starts at the beginning of the school year and ends by late September at the earliest, up to early November if your varsity team makes the state finals. So the school season only makes up a small portion of the year...around 2-3 months to be exact. For the rest of the year, kids play club volleyball to get better and improve to have the opportunity to make their school team!

Club season starts mid November, and ends the end of April for our local and regional teams, and mid/late June into early July for our national teams. This means club season is 6-8 months, 2-4 times longer than your school season.

THIS IS WHY PLAYING CLUB IS SO IMPORTANT!! There is no way to supplement the hours spent training in a team environment, and the amount of competition you get from a club volleyball season.

Here are the main excuses we hear to not play club volleyball...

It's too much money and we can't afford it. If that is really true, apply for a scholarship and we will help you! When you click on that link you will also see our business sponsor program...if you receive scholarship money, 100% of the sponsor money you bring in goes toward your fees. If you're not on scholarship, 50% of the money goes toward your fees. We have had several players pay for their entire club tuition by getting business sponsors...so if your kid is that passionate about the game, let them do some work to help pay for their fees.

The time commitment is too much because of all the weekend tournaments....great parents find a way to make it work for their kids. We can help you find carpools and rides, just ask us for help and we will do our best to make it work for your family!

I'm not sure if my kid is ready for that commitment...or my kid plays other sports....we recommend our mini club program. Mini club runs in 6 week increments throughout the year, so you can sign up for 1 of them that works for your schedule, or sign up for all of them!

My best advice is if your kid is really passionate about the sport, find a way to make it work!
